Alyssa is the Clinical Director of Revitalize Counseling Services. She was born and raised in the central Kentucky area. She enjoys spending her free time exploring new festivals, playing with her young daughter, and enjoying nature. In 2012, Alyssa received her bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. In 2014, she received her Master’s degree in Human Development and Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. Since graduation, Alyssa has gained experience working in both the community mental health field as well as private practice. In August 2019, Alyssa opened Revitalize Counseling Services, LLC, to meet her hometown’s mental health needs. Alyssa has experience in working with children as young as 3, clients with special needs/disabilities, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. She is best known for her skills in treating clients with school avoidance, childhood behavioral issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and working with disabled children and adults. She utilizes play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, reality therapy, and many other styles to help meet the client’s needs.
